Sam’s No. 3 Downtown
A Denver staple not to be missed! Always great food, big portions, and amazing staff.
This place gets busy, especially on the weekends, so plan on a wait. The wait will be worth it, and the staff works hard to keep things moving quickly, so your wait is never that long, in all the years we’ve been going the longest we waited was maybe 20-30 minutes.
While everyone has their favorites, I’d recommend the breakfast burritos, and when in Colorado smother, everything is spicy green chili.
I’d also like to thank our server, Mikey, from our last visit. He was efficient, helpful, and had an amazing attitude! In a world where it’s even hard to find servers to work, Sam’s No. 3 got lucky enough to have a Mikey.

Super casual and to the point. I got a Chai Latte to go. It tasted great, was made quickly, and the bartender was kind and helpful. Looked like a place that was welcoming to locals and visitors. Open Mic Nights were posted for most nights of the week, and the breakfast looked great but we didn’t get to swing by. I suspect it would’ve been a simple in-and-out meal. Ready to come back on my next time in time.

What a great place! We had gluten free fish and chips-what a pleasant surprise. They have a big menu and lots of variety to choose from as well as indoor or outdoor seating.

Pazzo’s Pizzeria
This is an absolute go to place when you are in the town. I haven’t really tasted such amazing pizza.. The service was super quick and the feel and ambience was also very casual and nice..
The restaurant altogether is spacious. We ordered the house special pizza de rano with some variations but everything in that pizza was so good and well cooked that we finished everything within a few seconds..
You should also try the local beer that’s on the menu..it’s names hot mess🤣🤣…

Great location to sit outside and people watch in the sun!
Loved the happy hour/apres menu – got lobster K dog and spicy tuna roll. K dog was good, nice amount of lobster but a lot of cheese. The sushi was delicious too! Very filling and nice beer list as well.

Sabor Mazatlan
Really enjoyed this spot. We popped in on a Friday night just getting into town for a ski trip. I was excited about the seafood options on the menu (seems like they’re from mazatlan on the coast) and we were not disappointed. I had the burrito mazatlan which had a mix of seafood inside and a very creamy sauce smothered all over it. Loved it. My wife had a steak fajitas that she also said was excellent. Service was quick and people waiting for tables didn’t have to wait long. Will return next time back in town.
