Old Schoolhouse
I went to preschool there in the 1970s. My mom helped run it. We learned manners, social skills, bravery, and fun. I miss my mom, my childhood, and a lot of the great times I had as a kid in Murphys.

I took my children here to see the Perseid shower. It was very laid back, all of the volunteers were very kind and so excited to share what they know! I would absolutely go again! Bring your own folding chair(s) to make sure you get a seat, but there is plenty of room to stand and observe.

World Famous Crochet Museum
This place is so quirky and unique..while it’s tiny, there are so many crochet goods and I was trying to observe every colorful bits! Free to enter but you can leave a tip or purchase something from the Art Queen store next door.

The people here are super kind! They know a lot of history of the area and it’s really a wonderful piece of history!
