New Magnolia Brewing Co

First time to New Magnolia and thought their beers tasted wonderful. Had their hazy ipa, cream stout and English brown on nitro and all were tasty. Their brewery is very open and quite spacious both indoor and out. Not a busy night but the bar staff was attentive and polite. I will definitely be returning to try more of their offerings.

Joshua Tree Saloon

We were recommended JT SALOON by our Airbnb host and we’re so glad that we stopped by! I loved the atmosphere here. We ordered 2 chicken tacos with a side of fries, and the tacos were juicy with homemade tortillas and had thin sliced jalapeños that made them burst with flavor. The fries were perfectly battered and crispy plus they got extra points for their ranch! Definitely recommend stopping by for lunch if you’re in the area.

Teotihuacan

After visiting a doctors appointment nothing hits the spot better than some good authentic Mexican food that will fill you up with a hearty meal. We ended up getting there about 30 min before lunch but the waitress was kind enough to give us the lunch menu instead of breakfast. The food is delicious and you better come here hungry the food dosen’t look like a lot but it will quickly fill you up. You might need to loosen up the belt a few notches when you get ready to leave. The micheladas are also very delicious. Not to mention their daily happy hour Monday – Wednesday is 11am -10pm and Thursday – Friday 2pm -6pm so make sure to pay them a visit

Tribute

One of the best and outstanding food and service one could ask for..! Loved this place so much that we are thinking of rebooking again for a next dinner date. The manager was exceptionally attentive at all tables, the servers were so friendly and loving to serve. A great place over all.

Potente

If you enjoy fantastic service and attention to detail, this is your place. The drinks were crafted to perfection. The dining experience from start to finish was exceptional. The chef literally kissed our plates and then greeted us. I appreciated the anticipatory service for each serving. Romantic setting, but welcoming for a solo diner as well.

Forget Me Not

Loved this place! Food was amazing!!! I ordered the Shrimp & Grits & they tasted so flavorful & fulfilling. Our table also ordered the Mimosa Flights which came with 3 flavors. The Music was top tier, a cluster of trendy hip hop & r&b, perfect for Memorial Weekend Celebrations. The DJ was very interactive with the crowd no matter where their seating was. The wait for our booth took 8-10min, not long for a party of 7. Parking was a small fee in lot but perfect for car safety & proximity. The service was nice as well, will definitely be back soon!

Cottonwood

This a great spot for satisfying most of your normal inclinations to get out for a few hours and enjoy some drinks, food, sports, and/or music by yourself or with friends and family. For seating, you have several options to choose from. 1) At the bar in front of several large television screens and an impressive assortment of tap beers and liquor. 2) Inside the bar at tables more conducive for eating and a conversation with your company. 3) Inside a large music hall, sports viewing area which can be opened to the outside in nice weather. And 4) outside on picnic benches which are warmed by fire pits during cooler weather. There is a wonderful selection of pub grub at reasonable prices. It is prepared promptly and prepared perfectly for your order. The proportions are large and yummy. Throughout the week there are several happy hour discounts on drinks on offer. On Wednesday nights they have a very reasonably priced steak dinner which I am going to have to come back and try. I have lived in the Heights for over three years but this was my first time coming across the facility. I have easy driven by this place over a hundred times and never noticed it. It is located on the east side of Shepherd just north of 34th Street (A little north of 610). However, it is situated just beyond the Garden Oaks Shopping Center and is somewhat obscured from view until you get directly beside it. Also you have to access the place from an unnamed road that parallels Shepherd and runs northward from 34 th St. directly in front of the Shopping Center.
