Houston Zoo
This has got to be the best zoo I’ve ever been to! We had a great time! The park is well designed and there was lots to see and do. The area was just beautiful and so picturesque. I liked the mix of animals to look at, and the variety of buildings and spaces to go in.

Joshua Tree Astronomy Arts Theater
I took my children here to see the Perseid shower. It was very laid back, all of the volunteers were very kind and so excited to share what they know! I would absolutely go again! Bring your own folding chair(s) to make sure you get a seat, but there is plenty of room to stand and observe.
Noah Purifoy Foundation
Great art installation in the middle of the desert. Not hard to find. Spent about an hour here.
World Famous Crochet Museum
This place is so quirky and unique..while it’s tiny, there are so many crochet goods and I was trying to observe every colorful bits! Free to enter but you can leave a tip or purchase something from the Art Queen store next door.
Old Schoolhouse Museum
The people here are super kind! They know a lot of history of the area and it’s really a wonderful piece of history!
