Ein Prosit

Perfect after a day on the slopes! I got a Kölsch that was smooth with just a tinge of fruity flavor just like the menu promised. Pairing this with sausages and a pretzel was pure bliss. They also had a few TVs that had March Madness playing along with outdoor seating. And you can’t forget the staff, the Friday crew went the extra mile to make our experience enjoyable and also recommended the Jalapeno elk sausage (yum). The vegetarian sausage wasn’t bad either.

Taqueria Las Palmas

My husband and I tried out this place for the first time. He got steak and chicken fajitas, I got chicken tacos. He really enjoyed the fajitas and flavor. My tacos were kind bland, the chicken didn’t have much flavor. I poured salsa on them to add some flavor. The salsa was different, very runny, no chunks of tomatoes like I’m used to but it was still good. Our waiter was awesome and welcoming. The food came out very quickly. I’d come back but I would try something other than the tacos!

Fire On The Mountain

This place was pretty awesome!! Located in the highlands neighborhood, it’s a cool little spot that feels like a good neighborhood hang, with great food and a nice drink selection! The wait staff was awesome! Very attentive and helpful with all the questions we had regarding the menu! My son and I are indecisive and like to try new spots and let the server just surprise us with our food selections. They didn’t disappoint today!! We started with the Buffalo FOTM fries, which are fresh cut fries covered with Buffalo sauce, blue cheese crumbles, and green onions. The fries were hot, crispy, and fresh! Next, the waitress selected the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and The Julio. The Nashville chicken sandwich was a huge hand-battered breast covered in Nashville Hot oil, house made pickle, and served on a fresh brioche bun! We got it with tater tots, and they may have been the best tots I have ever had!! So crispy on the outside. Fluffy and potato-ey on the inside and perfectly seasoned with a house seasoning that is just the right amount of saltiness and a touch of sweet!! They were incredible! The Julio is a Grlled chicken breast, bacon, fried jalapeños, housemade queso, Lettuce, Tamato, Red onion, and a garlic aioli served on a Ciabatta roll. The sandwich was flavorful and tasted fresh. The bread was toasted and still soft and east to eat, which isn’t always the case with Ciabatta. It came with fresh cut fries, and they were seasoned in the same house seasoning as the tots, and they were so good!! We also tried the vegan wings with the raspberry habanero sauce since we had never had a vegan wing before, and they weren’t bad. I’ve never had anything like it, so I have no idea if they were a good version or not. To me, they were like a fried meatloaf cube. But the sauce was very good. Spicy with a touch of sweetness. Overall, we were pretty happy with our experience and would definitely recommend giving it a try!

Pier 8 Cajun Seafood & Bar in Arvada

This is the kind of place where you wish your stomach was bigger. We walked inside and greeted immediately. The restaurant has a fun ocean vibe. Lots of photo opportunities here. We came on a late Thursday afternoon so we were seated quickly. The prices were reasonable for a seafood boil. We chose the Captain’s feast with snow crab and shrimp with the house special blend sauce (which is a blend of all the sauces). It came out in a very cool presentation. Our server was 100% right, that sauce was amazing. It’s kind of sauce that made you just wanna bust out a spoon and eat it straight. The shrimp was large and plump, the crab came out into good size clusters. The corn and potatoes went perfect with the sauce. Excellent seafood. Excellent service. Fun atmosphere. Next time we are in the area, we’ll be back!!

Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar

Super surprised at how good the food was! Had a boil with the Hook & Reel sauce (spicy) and the flavor was so good! Crawfish were really meaty, crab came out of the shell with ease, shrimp were cooked perfectly and potatoes + corn were delicious (although there was only 1 piece of corn and 2 potatoes). Hush puppies were the best I’ve had in CO so far. Watermelon margarita was delicious too! Overall, super impressed and will definitely be coming back. We didn’t use them but also loved that they provided gloves and bibs. Environment was really fun and kid-friendly, service was excellent.

Yak and Yeti Restaurant and Brewpub

So good! I’ve been coming here for years and have always had a great experience. I had the lunch buffet last time and was so pleased. It was the best buffet of this type of food that I’ve ever had. There were so many delicious choices and it all tasted very fresh, as if I had ordered directly from the kitchen (which, in my experience, is so unusual for a buffet). It was more expensive than I was expecting, but still a good value given the quality of the food. The staff was very friendly, as always, and the ambiance was nice.
