C Anthony Gallery

My wife and I visited C Anthony Gallery during a recent visit to Beaver Creek for vacation. We didn’t make a purchase but spent considerable time just looking at the various pieces and talking to Shannon Mills, an art consultant. We found Shannon to be very friendly and informative. Going through the gallery was like visiting a wing in an art museum. Some interesting paintings, some beautiful Lottan glass pieces and lots of great cast sculptures. Whether you are looking for unique art pieces or just want to enjoy browsing their collection, we strongly recommend you visit this gallery while in Beaver Creek.

The Museum at Dinosaur Junction

Just right for our 4, 6 and 8 year olds! This new museum packs a big punch in a small space. They have plans to expand as the collection and support from the community grows. “Dinosaur Billy” was the docent on duty and spent almost an hour giving our kids a fascinating tour and history lesson. They loved the hands-on fossil dig (sand table). Picked up a brochure for the summer camp program. What a gem!

Next to public recreation facility so bathrooms are available. Beautiful views and connects to the Eagle Valley Trail System.

Nederland Mining Museum

What a gem of a museum! Susan walked us around and had some great history and a love of mining to share. If you happen to be in Nederland when it is open, it’s worth the stop! Don’t forget to see the last Bucyrus Erie steam shovel that helped dig the Panama Canal!
